Tricia Rice

Artist

Tricia’s identity as a collector and keeper of things is central to her practice as an artist.

Inspired by the cabinets of curiosities of the past, she curates and photographs collections of objects that are linked by memory or place. Tricia’s work communicates a storied past and connections between objects, celebrating the assemblage and collective beauty of everyday things.

Much of her work uses objects collected whilst beachcombing Britain’s coastine, each assemblage revealing something of the place and time it was collected. Her work with found plastic uses humour and playfulness to transform seemingly disconnected fragments into something whole again.
