Wirksworth-based artist, Alison Ballard, explores changing notions of what it means to be ‘present’, to experience something in real-time, and the impact technology is having on our sense of self, using moving image, audio, text, and performance. Her current practice looks at the tension between objectively measured clock time and time as a subjective human experience, developing an ongoing series or works that play with our sense of time, duration, and speed.
