Amanda Graham
Jeweller
I make unique pieces of jewellery using sterling silver, gold and an alloy of copper and silver (Shibuishi). Most of my pieces are oxidised black to highlight textures applied by acid etching over reticulation, or by using granulation. I use traditional methods and my jewellery is all hand formed.
Although I’ve been making jewellery for many years, I have a PhD in chemistry which is useful when developing new ways of working with enamels. I also run jewellery making and enamelling workshops for small groups- but I keep the experimentation out of those!
